Welcome to Madison's 5th Grade Class!

Hello Lake Balboa Community! My name is Madison Banker and I am the new 5th grade teacher on campus! I studied at California State University Fullerton where I obtained my teaching credential and M.S. in Elementary Curriculum. This is my first year at Lake Balboa and I already feel so welcome at the school community!

 

I originally grew up in Orange County and recently moved to Los Angeles to start my teaching career. When I am not teaching I like to watch movies, go on hikes with my dog, snowboard, and spend time with family and friends.

 

In my classroom, I value teaching the whole child, both academically and socially. I want every student to feel important and appreciated in the class. I believe every student has individual strengths that contribute to the classroom community. Families are one of the most important aspects of each student. I love to stay connected and keep open communication with all of my families, so please always reach out!
