BACK IN ACTION!!! Voluntary Off Season Workouts: Volleyball workouts resume this week: Monday - July 22, Tuesday - July 23, & Friday - July 25, from 9:45 AM to 12:15PM at BALBOA PARK, Encino in the sunshine, on the asphalt courts next to the outdoor basketball courts. No pandemic here man!
This is 911 time for turning in all of your new paperwork, including physicals, for the upcoming 2024 Volleyball season. They are due by the 28th because I must take them to the Regional Nurse's Office on the 29th. So far we only have 5. I can only register a Varsity with 6 & it will be very slow going to clear a JV with another 6 at the very back of the line for LAUSD to approve.
Please search for our Schoology group Summer Volleyball Workouts & join! The code to join is N6KN-G2FT-7QZ99. Check in! Say something! Confirm you are going to practice or say you can't make it there. USE IT & I can reply to you.
If you haven't downloaded all of the new 24-25 Sports Athletic Participation Packet info, please do so NOW! This means YOU! Go away & print all of that stuff now! You can't read anything else here until you do! I mean it! Shoo! Git! Go away or I shall taunt you again!
Bring all of your newly completed paperwork, plenty of water, sun screen, knee pads, a beach towel (it is SO much more comfortable if you can actually lie down during breaks without dealing with itchy grass!), a hat/visor & your BIG CAT-ITUDE to our next workout.
PLEASE READ: We STILL need somebody to host our Parent's Meeting & Team Ice Cream Social! I'll bring the ice cream & goodies! WHY NO TAKERS? Whasamadda wit chu guys? Don't you like ice cream? We just need a place to do it. Maybe a picnic at Balboa Park? A team movie night at YOUR place? Game night? Brainstorm & send me an email or text. [email protected] or 818-434-9868. We can't do Zuma until we get the rides to the beach figured out.
I have already ordered our snazzy Park & Sun outdoor grass system which will be the envy of all who see it. Amazon Prime promised speedy 2 day delivery for the boundaries & stakes but decided the net will show up between July 23 & August 6. Talk about dessert letdown.
We will usually meet 3 days a week, also from 9:45AM to 12:15PM thereafter, with another day (probably Saturdays, TBA) at Zuma Beach. The exact dates will depend on the heat & will be posted here through August 3.
Monday through Friday daily practice begins the first day of the season, Monday, August, 5 at 10AM. Please meet Coach Soto on campus at the PE office at LBCP. You must be completely cleared with Coach Soto prior to beginning practice. LAUSD wants all of our paperwork done by July 28. Don't wait!
