Principal's Message

Dear Lake Balboa College Preparatory Magnet K-12 Families:

 

My name is Robert Clarke and I am honored to serve as the principal of Lake Balboa College Prep. It is an absolute privilege to be part of such a wonderful and caring community and I feel very fortunate to be part of it. I look forward to a very successful school year where, working together, we will build upon a foundation of caring and trust to maximize every child's academic potential. We will provide every student with an academically rich and rigorous curriculum in a safe and caring environment.

 

I have a wide array of experiences at all of the K-12 levels. I was a teacher and coordinator for eleven years at the elementary school level; a teacher, coordinator and assistant principal for seven years at the middle school level; and an assistant principal at the high school level for the last seven years. This cross-section of experiences provides me great insight into the social, emotional and academic needs of all our students. I am excited to be able to utilize this array of experiences to best serve the entire Lake Balboa community and understand that everything we undertake must always be focused on that which is best for students.

 

I believe in the importance of building strong and positive relationships and pledge to build these relationships with all components of the school community: parents, students and staff. Together we will ensure that ALL Lake Balboa College Prep students will be college-and career-ready and that each one will be provided the opportunity to become the best students and citizens possible. Lake Balboa College Prep is a special place and together we will continue to Dream, Believe and Achieve!
