Circulation Policies

Students in grades K-5 are not required to have a school ID to check out library books. Students in 6th through 12th grade are required to have a current school ID (once they have been issued for that year) in order to check out library books. Students have a set number of library books they may have checked out. See below:

Grade Span Number of Books Allowed Out at Once
K-2 1
3-5 2
6-12 3
Students are allowed up to two library book renewals per library book. In other words, once a student initially checks out a library book, they may bring it back to renew their loan period (2 weeks) two more times. Exceptions can be made upon the discretion of the teacher librarian or library aide depending on the demand for the library book.  In order to renew a library book, the student needs to either bring the book back to the library or bring their school ID. Elementary students need only to bring back the book.
